Checked 4 November 2026. This November shortlist separates applications for business support from event registration. Dates below come from organizer pages; a listed deadline is not acceptance. Check the linked form again before preparing an application.

The NEXUS deadlines are displayed in the official SABAH.city programme list. No exact closing hour is published there. The December dates are included because preparation can start in November. For ongoing discovery, use the programme catalogue and compare support with the accelerator selection guide.

NEXUS: choose the correct market-entry direction

Launchpad is the outward route for Azerbaijan-based technology companies. The official criteria seek an MVP, market traction, a team of at least two and financial readiness for expansion; three to seven years of experience is described as preferred. Prepare evidence of the target market and the resources needed to enter it.

Soft Landing supports international companies entering Azerbaijan. Its programme page also sets out product, traction and team criteria. Published support includes workspace, mentoring and legal or administrative guidance. Confirm what is included and any written participation terms before budgeting for relocation. Support descriptions do not establish a cash investment or a universal equity condition.

The Launchpad Apply button returned 404 during this review. The official SABAH.HUB NEXUS form is available and offers both programme choices. Select the correct route and confirm the current round with the organizer. Soft Landing also has an official application page. A working form does not by itself prove that every applicant or cohort is eligible.

Microsoft for Startups through IDDA

The local route begins with IDDA assessment and, for suitable applicants, a referral code before Microsoft's application. The agency's announcement still states 1 December 2026 as the deadline. Our updated Microsoft application guide explains the two stages, the preparation checklist and the limits of the information published by IDDA.

Use this route when the team can explain its product, traction, scalability and planned cloud usage. Cloud credits cover eligible technology consumption; they do not become unrestricted money for salaries or marketing. Confirm the current award and billing terms in the provider's own offer. No guaranteed credit amount is assigned to a startup in this overview.

SOCAR Hackathon: a practical energy-data challenge

The organizer confirms 21–22 November at Sabah City in Baku. Applicants must be at least 18; individuals and teams of up to three can register. An energy or subsurface background is preferred. All participants must attend in person and bring their own equipment.

The stated application cutoff is 9 November at 23:59, without an explicit timezone on the reviewed page. Apply early or ask the organizer to confirm the cutoff. Read the event profile and use official registration. This is a prototype competition, rather than a general accelerator or a promised investment round.

IDDA sessions: ask questions before assuming eligibility

IDDA announced information sessions about innovation legislation on 3 November. The remaining scheduled dates after today's session are 13, 18 and 26 November, from 15:00 to 18:00 at the Azerbaijan Innovation Center, 93 Ataturk Avenue, Baku. Each date has a separate registration link in the official announcement.

Use the 13 November event page to plan attendance. A session registration does not grant technopark residency, a certificate or a tax benefit. For a separate support mechanism, read the Startup Certificate guide.

Build a shortlist your team can act on

  1. Write down the business result needed next: product validation, a new market, cloud capacity or regulatory clarification.
  2. Match the team's evidence to the published requirements. Separate confirmed facts from questions for the organizer.
  3. Assign an owner and an internal preparation date before the official deadline.
  4. Keep one consistent company name, product explanation, traction period and team list across forms. Use the pitch deck checklist to check consistency.
  5. Save the current rules and submission confirmation. Track submitted, shortlisted and accepted as different stages.

Closed competitions and completed demo days are not treated as open calls here. A programme without a dated intake stays a discovery lead until the organizer confirms a current round. Check the events calendar for attendance opportunities; do not assume buying a ticket creates a pitch slot.

Questions founders ask

Are these all grants?

No. Market-entry assistance, cloud support, a hackathon and an information session serve different needs. Choose by the actual support and obligations.

Should we wait until the displayed deadline?

Allow time for form problems, document checks and team review. A published calendar date may omit the hour or timezone; ask the organizer rather than inventing one.

What if an application link fails?

Return to the organizer's official page or use a verified alternative published by that organizer. Do not send company documents to an unofficial replacement form.
